ClearParcels Terms (report reservations)
Effective date: October 17, 2026.
1. Who we are and what this covers
These terms cover reserving and buying a ClearParcels property tax report on clearparcels.com. ClearParcels LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company ("ClearParcels", "we"). Contact: Office@clearparcels.com. Postal address: 116 Agnes Rd, Ste 200, Knoxville, TN 37919.
2. What ClearParcels is and is not
ClearParcels is an independent service. We are not a government office and are not affiliated with the Shelby County Trustee or the City of Memphis. We do not take tax payments. You pay your city or county directly. ClearParcels prepares checks and checklists only and never receives, holds or pays property taxes. Your report shows what the public tax sites showed when we checked. It is not tax or legal advice.
3. Reserving a report
- You enter one Memphis or Shelby County, Tennessee parcel ID, or a property address from which we suggest a parcel ID for you to check, and your email address.
- We take no card details and no payment when you reserve. Nothing is charged.
- A person on our team runs the check of the public tax sites of the offices we check for your parcel (the Shelby County Trustee, and the City of Memphis if it bills your parcel) and reviews your report.
- When your report is ready, we email you a payment link for the amount shown before you pay. You pay only if you still want the report. If you do not pay, the reservation ends and nothing is owed.
- We do not promise a delivery date. We may decline or cancel a reservation, for example if the parcel ID is not valid or we cannot run the check; we tell you by email.
- If we cannot read the public tax site of an office we check for your parcel:
- If the cause is a technical problem on an office's site, we may try again for up to 7 days, with each new try made on a later day.
- If an office blocks or stops our access, we do not try again.
- In either case, if the report is still incomplete, we send you what we could read, marked as not a complete check, and you pay nothing for it. If you have already paid for this report, we refund the full fee.
- A bill from another city or town that we do not check does not make a report incomplete.
4. Buying the report
- The price is the amount shown before you pay for the report on that parcel. It is a ClearParcels service fee only, never tax money. Payment is made on the hosted page of our payment processor.
- We send the report by email after payment.
5. Refunds
- Full refund when asked within 14 days of purchase.
- We also refund the fee if we cannot read the public tax site of an office we check for this parcel, as described in section 3.
- If another city or town also bills this parcel, we cannot check that bill yet. We will tell you, and you will not pay for this parcel: if you have already paid for this report, we refund the full fee.
- Refunds go to the card you used. Ask at Office@clearparcels.com.
6. Public data, no warranty
Reports are based on public websites that we do not control. Those sites can be incomplete, out of date or wrong, or unavailable when we check. We show what the sites showed and the date we checked. A parcel ID we suggest from an address comes from public address data that we do not control and that may be wrong. You check the parcel ID before you reserve, and the report covers the parcel ID you checked. County amounts are shown as a minimum. Anything we could not read is marked Not read, which is not zero. Always confirm every amount on each office's own site before you pay. Except for the refunds above, the report is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a reservation or report is limited to the fee you paid for that report (zero if you did not pay). We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including late fees, interest or penalties charged by a tax office.
8. Acceptable use
- One parcel at a time. Automated or bulk use is not allowed.
- No scripts, bots or scraping of our site, and no attempt to get around our limits or security check.
- Do not use the service to collect information about other people, and do not resell reports as a data feed.
- We may block use that breaks these rules.
9. Who may use the service
You must be 18 or older. The service covers properties in the United States (today Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee only) and is meant for users in the United States.
10. Privacy
Our Privacy Notice for reservations explains what we collect and how long we keep it. We do not send marketing email unless you agree to it separately.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The Terms in effect on the date you reserve apply to that reservation. If a change affects an open reservation, we email you before it applies, and you can cancel the reservation.
